NYE LAS VEGAS 2022

As you prepare to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas, there are a few important things to keep in mind to ensure that you have a fun and safe time. Here are some survival tips to help you make the most of your NYE 2022 in Sin City:

  1. Get to the strip early. To avoid getting stuck in traffic or having to park far away from your destination, it’s a good idea to arrive on the strip by around 5 or 6 p.m. If you’re planning to celebrate at Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas, be sure to get there even earlier to beat the crowds.
  2. Park your car in a nearby hotel garage. Most Strip valet and self-park garages are expected to be full by 5 p.m., so it’s a good idea to park your car in the hotel garage nearest to where you’ll be partying. Be sure to take a photo of the garage and floor where you parked, in case you need to find your car later. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to leave the strip until well after midnight, so plan accordingly.
  3. Dress warmly. Despite being in the desert, Las Vegas can get very cold at night, especially on New Year’s Eve. Be sure to dress in layers and wear warm, cozy clothes to keep yourself comfortable throughout the evening.
  4. Be prepared for crowds and noise. With so many people in one place, it’s no surprise that Las Vegas can get very crowded and loud on New Year’s Eve. Expect lots of people, food, alcohol, music, dancing, and fun, but also be prepared for the possibility of encountering some drunks.
  5. Don’t be afraid to enjoy a drink or two. Alcohol is allowed to be consumed on the streets during the holiday celebration, as long as you’re of legal drinking age (21 or older). Just be sure to avoid using metal or glass containers, as these are banned.
  6. Know the curfew rules. There are curfews in place for both the city as a whole and the Fremont Street area, so be sure to familiarize yourself with these rules. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult during these hours.6Consider using public transportation. The Las Vegas Monorail will be the only public transportation operating on the strip on New Year’s Eve, running continuously from 7 a.m. on December 31 until 3 a.m. on January 2. Bus routes 201, 202, and 203 will also provide access to the strip, but will not stop on the strip itself. Alternatively, you can use rideshare services like Uber to get around, but be aware that pickups and drop-offs will be restricted to certain areas.

By following these tips, you’ll be well-prepared to survive and thrive during your New Year’s Eve celebration in Las Vegas. So go out, have fun, and ring in the new year in style!
